UX Case Study: Design for Social Good

My goal in this project was to create and design a dedicated mobile app & complimentary responsive website for social good. After posting an online survey and conducting an extensive competitive audit, I learned that people would most likely be interested in using a third party service to get connected with local community service opportunities. The real-world product that I regularly referred to was "Volunteer Match". The current problem users face is that getting in contact with service driven organizations can be time consuming, stressful and confusing. Volunteer Match does a fabulous job doing this on a nation wide scale, however, I noticed a lack of specificity for Seattle and its unique needs.
